1. remove wick and holder from pouch, peel off sticker from the wick base and firmly centre to the bottom of your vessel.
2. place open pouch upright in a microwave-safe dish. microwave on high for 2 minutes and stir with spoon. repeat until wax is completely melted and play our 'songs to melt to' playlist below while you wait. note: no microwave? skip to stove heating instructions below.
3. remove pouch from microwave and pour the fragrance oil into the melted candle wax. mix well with spoon. warning: melted candle wax will be hot; leave to cool for a few minutes, take caution and handle carefully.
4. carefully pour mix into your vessel and ensure the wick is centred using the wick holder. allow at least 2 hours for your candle to set on a cooling rack. note: cooling rack will help prevent sinkholes forming.
5. once set, trim wick to 5mm with a wick trimmer or scissors and enjoy your new candle.

2. fill a saucepan or pot with water (enough to cover 1/3 of upright candle wax pouch) and bring to boil. note: you'll need a saucepan at least 20cm in diameter.
3. reduce heat to simmer and place open pouch upright in water. stir wax every 2 minutes until completely melted and play our 'songs to melt to' playlist above while you wait. note: ensure adequate ventilation and never leave stove unattended.
4. carefully remove pouch from water and leave to cool for 2 minutes on a tea towel. pour the fragrance oil into the melted candle wax. mix well with spoon. warning: melted candle wax will be hot; take caution and handle carefully.
5. carefully pour mix into your vessel and ensure the wick is centred using the wick holder. allow at least 2 hours for your candle to set on a cooling rack. note: cooling rack will help prevent sinkholes forming.

how to get the most out of your reativ candle.
1. to prevent tunnelling, completely melt wax to the edge of vessel before extinguishing.
2. trim wick to 5mm with a wick trimmer or scissors before each burn.
3. never leave a candle unattended or burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
4. while not in use, keep a candle lid on to preserve the wax from dust and loss of fragrance between burns.

our candle wax pouches are certified for industrial compost. please take to your nearest industrial composting facility to discard responsibly.
my candle has reached its end, what do i do now?
to remove wax residue from your vessel, cover wax with boiling water and leave to cool. the residue will melt and set on the surface of the water once cool. discard remaining wax and wick base. warning: vessel will be hot with boiling water inside, take caution and handle carefully. do not pour boiling water in glass vessels in case of damage.
if wick base is stuck to the bottom of your vessel, try scraping out with a spoon.
once wax residue has been removed, wash vessel in dishwasher or hand wash with warm soapy water. our reusable ceramic vessel is dishwasher safe.
your vessel is now ready to reuse and refill.
